QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
Hello, I would like to place this clock about 2 feet above my kitchen stove. Is it durable enough for this area and will the craftsmanship hold up with use of the stove. Thank you for your help
It is recommended that items like these be placed away from anything that may cause them to be exposed to changing temperatures such as appliances, doorways, ect.
You will find this is the case for most clocks. Especially when it comes to heat. Some items such as outdoor wall clocks can withstand the cold but when it comes to heat most clocks are not built to be exposed to temperatures like that. Going from hot to room temperature and back frequently will cause issues such as melting glue and deterioration of the mechanisms that make the clockvwork.
We do not recommend that this clock be placed above your stove.
That being said, logically there may be no issue at all if there is good airflow in the house, but issues MAY present themselves over time. As such we do not recommend it.
